Episode One - Lift off

The very first show. Clunky and lighthearted. We had a lot of fun making this one. A solo effort in introducing Nick our host and his background. Lots of fun!

The first one is always the hardest!

Episode 7 - Donna Thistlewaite

This week, we're taking it to the next level with none other than Donna Thistlewaite, a mental health champion and survivor-thriver.

Her journey is nothing short of remarkable — a story of despair, darkness, and ultimately, recovery.

*** Trigger warning ***

In 2012, Donna fell from Brisbane’s Story Bridge in a desperate attempt to end her life. Her actions shocked those who knew her, as they regarded her as a competent human resource professional and a friendly, enthusiastic person.

However, Donna's journey led her from breakdown to receiving an ‘Entrepreneur of the Year Award’ in 2016, finding her purpose in career coaching and speaking.

As an entrepreneur and speaker, Donna shares her story to help others navigate their own challenges.

The link to her ABC Australian Story episode is https://bit.ly/OzStory.

There are some wonderful takeaways in the area of thriving after facing darkness, imposter syndrome, daily gratefulness, breathing techniques, music therapy, mental health strategies to help you stay on track, and some other tasty morsels of mental strength goodness. OMG it is a doozy!

A clunky intro by me, but hey, who doesn't love a guy giving it a go!? Just love making this show and getting in front of the mic every week.

Any feedback welcome! I have tried fixing the low volume, so open to more! Thank you.

Next episode is one incredible man and veteran. Another doozy incoming!!
